Rhino
Rhino can create, edit, analyze, and translate NURBS* curves, surfaces, and solids in Windows. There are no limits on complexity, degree, or size.
Flamingo
Flamingo brings the raytrace and radiosity rendering to Rhino. Easy to use, works seamlessly inside Rhino, and provides a host of features that speed and simplify image rendering.
Penguin
Penguin brings freehand sketching, watercolor painting and cartoon-like rendering to Rhino and AutoCAD. With Penguin you can create stylised images of your models with an artistic look for enhanced graphic and visual appeal.
Bongo
Bongo brings professional animation into Rhino 3.0 or 4.0, using familiar keyframe tools found in most high-end animation packages.
Hardware:
- Pentium, Celeron, or higher processor.
- 200 MB disk space.
- 512 MB RAM. 1 GB or more is recommended.
- OpenGL graphic card recommended.
- IntelliMouse recommended.
- 3-D digitizer optional.
- 3-D printer optional.
Operating systems:
- Rhino 4.0 runs only on Windows 2000, XP Pro, XP Home, and Vista* including an Intel Mac with BootCamp or Parallels.
*Vista requires Rhino 4.0 Service Release 1 or above.
- Rhino 4.0 will not run on Windows NT, 95, 98, or ME.
- Native Windows x64 is not supported and will not be until the required development tools and libraries are available. There will be a free service release available as soon as possible after 4.0 ships. Rhino 4.0 does run as a 32-bit application on Windows x64.
- Rhino 4.0 does not run natively on Mac OS X, but it is under development.
- Rhino 4.0 does not run natively on Linux, or any other operating system not listed above.
An Educational Single User License:
- is a full-featured commercial license at a special price
- is for students, faculty (teachers, instructors, and professors), and institution only (proof of status is required)
- is upgradeable at educational prices if the owner still qualifies for educational prices
- is upgradeable at commercial prices if the owner no longer qualifies for educational prices
- can be used for either educational or commercial activities
- is not transferable (cannot be sold or transferred to another user)
A Lab Kit:
- is for an institution only
- is
a license to use Rhino on all the computers in a single classroom or lab (one room) and the instructor's computer. A network is not required.
- Or, a floating license to use Rhino on 30 computers in a department. A network and the Zoo* is required.
